A neurological evaluation at Strong Tower starts with your story, then looks at how your nervous system is working. Dr. Wright's testing looks at eye movements, balance, coordination, reflexes, autonomic regulation, and proprioception, which is your sense of where your body is in space.
Your first step is a complimentary consultation. It is a one-on-one conversation about your concerns, your relevant health history, and your goals, with no obligation to begin care. If our approach may be a fit, we outline the path toward a comprehensive neurological evaluation. If it is not, we will point you in the right direction.
In general, a neurological exam checks several parts of the nervous system, such as thinking and memory, the senses, movement, balance and coordination, reflexes, sensation, and automatic functions like heartbeat and digestion. The tests are non-invasive. Examples include tapping a reflex, light touch, and walking in a straight line, according to MedlinePlus (updated September 2026).
Eye movements. How well your eyes track, hold steady, and work together.
Balance. How steady you are, and how your balance system handles movement.
Coordination. How smoothly your body carries out movements.
Reflexes. How your nervous system responds automatically.
Autonomic regulation. How the body manages automatic functions, such as heart rate and digestion.
Proprioception. Your sense of where your body is in space.
Detailed functional testing evaluates these areas to help identify where the nervous system is struggling.
After your evaluation we go over what we found and whether our approach may help. If it does, we build a personalized plan of targeted exercises and therapies. Care is always one-on-one and individualized, built around your story, your symptoms, and your goals. You can read how this fits into functional neurology on our What Is Functional Neurology page.
An evaluation at Strong Tower does not replace imaging, lab work, or the care of your medical doctor. We see our care as complementary, and we may encourage you to see your doctor if something in your history or findings calls for it.
